Learning objectives
This course is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive overview of the surgical anatomy/skills and ultrasound techniques for common and essential emergency medicine procedures. At the end of the course, you will learn:

A Advance ultrasound guided procedure
  1. Use and practise of ultrasound in airway management
  2. Demonstrate different approaches for central vascular access (both internal jugular and femoral) on cadaver
  3. Practise ultrasound guided pericardiocentesis on cadaver and learn how to confirm placement
  4. Understand and practise ultrasound skills of common orthopaedics procedures such as fractures / joint fluid / foreign body identification and removal / abscess aspiration.
  5. Demonstrate peripheral nerve block on cadaver under ultrasound guidance
B Common and Essential Emergency medicine skills and procedure
  1. Learn and practise multiple approaches on advance airways management on cadaver
  2. Demonstrate the skills on central venous access/ peripheral vascular access and intraosseous insertion
  3. Practise common EM procedure such as thoracostomies (finger/ tube) and pericardiocentesis on cadaver
  4. Understand and learn essential and uncommon EM skills such as ED Thoracotomy, Emergency limb amputation, Lateral canthotomy, Suprapubic catheterization

Format:
The whole course is a two-day program. The focus of the first day and second day will be ultrasound related procedures and essential emergency medicine procedures respectively. Didactic lectures will be provided and followed by small groups of a maximum six participants / two instructors with one cadaver. Each individual participant
